Yuva Sangam 2023
Yuva Sangam is an initiative of Government of India which focuses on conducting exposure tours for the youth comprising mainly students studying in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) & off-campus youth from one state to other states & vice versa. During their visits, the youth will have a multi- dimensional exposure under five broad areas — Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology).
In order to build empathy and strengthen people to people connect between the youth of different states, under this initiative of sustained youth exchange programme under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB).
For Yuva Sangam Phase III, Central Tribal University had been the Nodal Higher Education institute of Andhra Pradesh. The paired state of Andhra Pradesh was Delhi. Under this exchange program CTUAP took 45 students to Delhi from 08th Dec to 17th Dec 2023. During the visit to Delhi, Yuva Sangam delegates of Andhra Pradesh explored the various sites such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Chandani Chowk, Dill Haat etc. The students also have cultural exchanged program with students of IIT Delhi, the paired host institute.
Also, CTUAP hosted 42 Yuva Sangam delegates from Delhi from 22nd December to 29th December 2023. During their stay in Andhra Pradesh, the delegates visited the various places such as Vizianagaram (House (National Monument) of Sri Gurajada Appa Rao, Royal Fort of Vizianagaram, Visit Sri Ramanarayanam Temple and interacgion with MR PG Students), Jattu Ashram, Parvathipuram – An NGO working on waste management/tribal welfare, Bobbili (Royal Fort of Bobbili, Bobbili War Pillar, Manufacturing units of Bobbili Veena), Araku (Boora Caves, Araku Valley, Tribal Museum), Visakhapatnam (National Research Development Centre (NRDC), APIS Visakhapatnam, Buddhist Monastery, Thotlakonda Sea View Point, INS Kursura Submarine Museum, RK beach), Srikakulam (Bejjipuram Women Youth Club (Jute Small Scale Industry), Srimukhaligam Temple, – Kurma Village.
Delhi delegates also enjoyed Cultural Programme at Jattu Ashram NGO and Visited tribal habitation in Araku. The CTUAP also organized the games for the delhi delegates. The visit of the delegates ended with culturally enriched valedictory function where the students of CTUAP as well as delegates of Delhi participated in various cultural program.
