CTUAP celebrated 150 years of the National Song Vande Mataram on 7th November 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event was organized in the Seminar Hall of the campus at 10:00 a.m. The program commenced with a Mass Singing of the full version of Vande Mataram, in which all teaching staffs, including all Deans, all HODs, non-teaching staff, and students actively participated. The collective song created an atmosphere of unity and national pride. The program was coordinated by Dr. Prama Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. Following the Mass Singing, the Hon’ble Registrar (I/c), Prof. Jitendra Mohan Mishra, addressed the gathering and spoke about the historical and cultural significance of the national song Vande Mataram. He emphasized how the song served as a powerful source of inspiration and motivation for the freedom fighters. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (I/c), Prof. T. Srinivasan, also addressed the audience and shared his insightful thoughts on the occasion. In his speech, he underlined the immense importance of ‘Vande Mataram’ as the National Song of India and elaborated on its vital role in uniting people. He encouraged students, faculty, and staff to internalize the spirit of Vande Mataram and contribute actively to the nation’s progress.
After the celebration, all CTUAP staff members were gathered in the Conference Hall at 10:30 a.m. and attended the live streaming program of the inaugural ceremony at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi wherein the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India addressed the citizens of India.
The event was concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Prama Chatterjee. The program successfully reflected the spirit of patriotism and collective respect for the nation’s cultural heritage.
