On the occasion of World Photography Day, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh organized a workshop on photography on 20th August 2024. The event featured Mr. Beera Ashok, a renowned photographer, writer, and international traveler, who delivered an insightful lecture on the art of photography. His session provided students with valuable knowledge about the fundamentals of photography, including composition, lighting, and storytelling through images. Following his lecture, Mr. Ashok conducted a hands-on training session, where students had the opportunity to apply the skills they learned in real-time, enhancing their practical understanding of photography.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Prof. M. Saratchandra Babu, Head of the Department and Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. He emphasized the significance of photography in media and communication and encouraged students to utilize this opportunity to enhance their skills. This workshop was instrumental in helping students develop a comprehensive understanding of photography, equipping them with both technical skills and creative insights. The hands-on training allowed the participants to practice and refine their skills under the guidance of an experienced professional, significantly boosting their confidence and proficiency in photography.
