Free Medical Health Camp for Students

Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh successfully organized a Free Medical Health Camp on 18 th March, 2025 at the university campus to promote the health and well-being of its students. The initiative aimed to provide students with free medical check-ups, consultations, and awareness on preventive healthcare.
A team of experienced doctors, and healthcare professionals led by Dr. Anil Benjamin from Shalom Heath Centre conducted general health check-ups, eye tests, and BMI assessments. Students also received guidance on nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle management. Speaking at the event, Mr. P. K. Dash, Finance Officer of the university, emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for students and assured continued support for such initiatives. Prof. T. Srinivasan, Registrar i/c of the university, highlighted the university’s commitment to student welfare, stating that regular health camps will be a part of the university’s future plans. Dr. Anil Benjamin from Shalom Health Centre provided valuable insights on preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle choices, and mental well-being.
Additionally, a renowned gynecologist was also invited to conduct a special counseling session for girl students. The session covered crucial topics such as menstrual health, reproductive well- being, hygiene, and addressing common health concerns. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and getting their queries addressed.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from students as well as staff of the university, getting the benefit from the medical services. The university plans to organize similar health camps regularly to promote a healthy campus environment.
