Recent Advancements in Chemistry

In the dynamic field of chemistry, advancements are occurring at an unprecedented pace, shaping the way we perceive and interact with the world. From breakthroughs in nanotechnology to the exploration of green chemistry principles, the landscape of chemical research is evolving rapidly.

In this context, department of chemistry organized one-day seminar on “Recent advances in chemistry” on 19-12-2023 at CTUAP Seminar Hall. Former vice chancellor Andhra university Prof. G. Nageswara Rao was the distinguished speaker of the event. He delivered a lecture on “Perspectives of Frustrated Lewis Pair Chemistry”. Prof. Rao has meticulously detailed the method of achieving metal-free hydrogen activation through Frustrated Lewis Pair. This emerging topic has piqued the curiosity of the audience, particularly among students. The program was graced by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. T.V. Kattimani and delivered his presidential remarks and stressed the need for exploring emerging domains such as semiconductor technology, computational chemistry, artificial intelligence in chemistry etc..
