WORLD ROSE DAY

World Rose Day is commemorated annually on September 22nd to raise awareness about cancer and to demonstrate solidarity with cancer patients and their loved ones. This significant day was established in 2000 by Melinda Rose, a courageous 12-year-old girl who battled terminal cancer.

In honor of World Rose Day, students from the Department of Social Work at the university organized a heartfelt celebration by distributing roses to all faculty members. This gesture not only symbolized compassion and support for those affected by cancer but also highlighted the importance of solidarity in facing this challenging disease.
