The Department of Geology, Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh organized World Earth Day-2024 celebrations on 22nd April 2024 along with student awreness activities like elocution, essay writing ,poster making and Junk art on the theme Planet vs. Plastic. and the culminating event e held on 27th April 2024.
Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, graced the event as the Chief guest and delivered an insightful talk on the theme of World Earth Day 2024, “Planet vs. Plastic.” Prof. R.P. Tiwari emphasized the crucial role of youth in protecting natural resources, maintaining natural ecosystems, and safeguarding biodiversity. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of CTUAP, Prof. T.V. Kattimani, graced the occasion and delivered the presidential address. He shared his views on the importance and urgent need for reducing plastic waste to safeguard nature and promote sustainable development.
