TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT: THE EMERGING PERSPECTIVES AND CONCERNS

The Department of Sociology has organized lecture on “Tribal Development: The Emerging Perspectives and Concerns” on February 24, 2024. Prof. Soubhagya Ranjan Padhi, Head Department of Sociology & Social Anthropology, Dean of Tribal Studies, IGNTU, Amarkantak, M.P. was the key Speaker. The session commenced at 11:00 AM and was attended by faculty members, students of CTUAP. The session was chaired by Prof. Jitendra Mohan Mishra Head (I/C), Department of Sociology, CTUAP.

Prof. Padhi, began the lecture by providing a comprehensive overview of the historical context of tribal communities. He has delivered an insightful lecture on tribal development in Indian Context. He delved into the challenges faced by these communities, including economic disparities, social issues, and the impact of development policies. He discussed Dominant Approaches of Tribal Development.
